Noise monitoring is a necessary activity to become aware of the impact that the airport has on the environment and the surrounding communities.
To monitor the acoustic emissions of aircraft, Infraero Brasil has chosen our SARA system which correlates the acoustic data coming from the monitoring terminals with aeronautical activities, returning reports and indices required by current regulations as well as the acoustic impact footprint.

From the analysis of the data provided by the motorway radio rooms, arise that the overcrowding of service areas is a serious and shared problem, which goes well beyond the difficulties of accessing and managing spaces.
More often than one might think, congestions in the area put the motorist in a position to risk dangerous maneuvers for himself and for others; the danger is obviously aggravated if heavy vehicles are involved.
There are frequent cases of trucks that, having taken the entrance ramp to the parking area, are forced to have to go out in reverse due to jams; other times, even if they manage to access, they are unable to stop and try to reach the exits but find them blocked by other vehicles. At this point they try to return to the highway in the wrong direction, directly from the entrance track, and then make very dangerous maneuvers to take the right direction on the roadway.
Some motorways are already equipped with systems that do not solve the problem: they merely dissuade from carrying out these maneuvers which, however, as mentioned above, are often necessary.
In partnership with A22 – Autostrada del Brennero, Softech has developed an ad hoc solution that aims to solve the problem simply by …preventing it!
The system, of which the experimentation has already started and almost completed, avoids the risk of saturation of the parking areas by monitoring them with a network of IoT sensors which, using the LoRa technology, allows to know the situation in real time; using dedicated software, the information is transmitted to the motorway radio rooms which can manage crowding by placing restrictions on access and / or by sending security personnel (traffic police) to the site.
The software can interface with third parties and communicate to commercial or not users, the situation of occupation of the parking areas; there are multiple communication channels that can be used: variable message panels, radio channels, applications for mobile devices, internet, etc.

An 8-year project in which, together with our local partner Akron, we will be responsible for processing and managing the acoustic data relating to air traffic measured by the Bruxelles Environnement sound level meter network.
Bruxelles Environnement is the environment and energy administration of the Bruxelles-Capital Region; its fields of activity concern the environment in a broad sense, including: air quality, noise pollution and the fight against climate change.
Together with them, and with the support of our local partner AKRON , we will carry out the 8-year project for the management and processing of acoustic and cartographic data relating to air traffic, measured by the network of Brussels Environnement sound level meters, that works 24/7. A public website will also be provided to allow anyone interested the consultation of noise pollution data in a trasparent way.
One of the final objectives of the project is the implementation of the ordinance of the government of the Brussels-Capital region of 27 May 1999 on combating air traffic noise which provides that, in order to protect citizens, air traffic noise perceived on the ground in the territory of the Brussels-Capital region cannot exceed certain limit values.

MINOS is the people counting and flow management system designed by Softech for sites with dynamic traffic of people such as airports, port boarding points or rest stops where the monitoring of visitors from the moment they pass the gates is essential for staff and operation optimization. Based on infrared and video sensors, MINOS collects data which is then transmitted to the “in-cloud” software for analysis and reporting.
Using a customized dashboard, it is possible to view the collected data in real time as a graph or on a floor plan.

For ports and freight village, Softech has developed a project based on the supply of the Datex Node and the VEGA management system; the aim is to implement an information system for data interchange with the motorway network through the use of panels variable message and (in the future) to convey information through apps dedicated to the world of road transport.
Thanks to these two tools, important information will be provided to hauliers entering and / or exiting the intermodal center who, being informed about the condition of traffic and roads, will be able to plan their journey in an informed manner, avoiding queues and stall situations, being able to intervene. on the way even during construction.
A clear and interesting example of the efficiency expected from the use of the system is reported by Quadrante Europa Interport: “Trucks coming from Bologna will be able to find out, along the A22 motorway network between Modena and Verona, any delay of the train arriving or departing in Verona or in general of criticalities present in the intermodal node. This therefore allows to warn the transporter in time and not to let him arrive in a context already overloaded with traffic jams or bottlenecks.
